This 1,499-foot (456.9-meter) Chicago tower revolutionized skyscraper design. Its innovative engineering made it possible for buildings to be taller than 100 stories, which was groundbreaking at the time. It also broke free from the traditional boxy skyscraper shapes we were used to. This building continues to stand out as a signature tower in Chicago's skyline.
