The architect believed that since no right angles exist in nature, none should exist in architecture. That belief is evident in the design of this tower. He compared the bays on the tower to the petals of a sunflower. They radiate from the building’s strong central core and provide stunning balcony views. On the other hand, Chicagoans have lovingly nicknamed it the "corncob buildings."
